- The Memoir
The Signs We Miss.
A mother and psychologist who missed the signs in her own child, and turned that reckoning into a life’s work. Part memoir, part field guide to the warning signs parents are trained not to see.

- About the project
The book, and the gathering around it.
The Signs We Miss is the story of what happens when the person most equipped to see the signs misses them anyway. I knew the research. I still waited. By the time I acted, the evidence was gone and the investigation closed with three words.
The book is two things at once. A memoir of that reckoning, and a field guide to the warning signs, the normalcy bias, and the freeze response that keep good parents still at the exact moment they need to move.
