The Signs We Miss is the story of what happens when the person most equipped to see the signs misses them anyway. I knew the research. I still waited. By the time I acted, the evidence was gone and the investigation closed with three words.

The book is two things at once. A memoir of that reckoning, and a field guide to the warning signs, the normalcy bias, and the freeze response that keep good parents still at the exact moment they need to move.
